The Demolition Industry in India has been functioning independently and without a unified body for a long time. With a growing demand for more and greater infrastructure, the clarion call for all players to come together has been sounded. As the popular saying goes, In Unity is Strength. With this in mind, the IDA Demolition Association LLP has been formed. The brain child of Mr. Mohan Ramanathan, Founder and Chairman, IDA aims to represent about 200 demolition companies, 4000 employees and over 1000 contactors with the necessary tools to act, interact and transact business in a highly professional manner. The MISSION of the Association is to introduce safe demolition methods in India and awareness in recycling & remediation.

IDA’s objectives also include:

• To promote and protect the interests of the demolition industry in India

• To upkeep International standards on demolition techniques

• To promote recycling of demolition debris

• To encourage health and safety procedures

• To aid in legislation concerning the removal, depositing, and recycling of demolition debris

• To promote best industry practices through education and training

• To provide its members with a sense of community and common purpose

• To maintain contacts with similar organizations around the world

• To serve as a voice to advocate rights, privileges and benefits for its members

IDA calls all demolition contractors, general contractors, equipment manufacturers, diamond tools manufacturers, consultants, developers, government agencies, scrap merchants and recycling agencies, to become members.
